Bachelor’s Degree
You need a bachelor’s degree from a college or university that is accredited by a regional accrediting agency approved by the U.S. Department of Education. Degrees from non-regionally accredited institutions may still be considered, but they will be reviewed by the Admissions and Appeals Committee.

Minimum GPA
A cumulative undergraduate GPA of at least 2.7 on a 4.0 scale is generally required. Some programs may have higher GPA requirements.

Program Preparation
You must have the appropriate academic background for the graduate program you want to enter, as specified by that department.

English Proficiency
If your primary language is not English, the university may require you to complete a test to demonstrate your written and spoken English skills.

Applicants with a GPA below 2.7
If your undergraduate GPA is below 2.7, you will need to submit a satisfactory score on the Graduate Record Exam (GRE), the Miller Analogies Test (MAT), or another graduate-level subject-specific exam as required by the program.
